if I have an itch
i'm going to scratch it til it bleeds
and if i find a hole
i will open it wider in hopes of seeing
what is wrong deep inside of me
that drives this need to break myself

if i have a lover
i will run him on off
if I have bottle
I'll finish it off

if i have a headache
i will fall down the stairs to take focus away
if i have the blues
i will get into bed and drink and
try to milk the sadness to its end
and tear myself open to extend it
