Easter was so beautiful
That I needed to cut off all my hair to give him
I held silken fringe in my hands
Offering my sacrifice
It wasn�t enough.

I asked my father for his kidney
He said I could have it
And I cupped it close to my chest And thrust it at him
He knew it wasn�t mine.

I decided to bleed for him
I crawled into the room
Dragging my knees
Slicing my legs and arms into deltas of red
And he smiled

I took off all my clothes
And he simply removed his shirt
And left it draped over me
