Two lonely kids
with too much time
and too much affection
to waste
and so we turn to each other
and have passionless kisses
of shoulders and collarbones
instead of eyelids and wrisits

Two lazy kids
with too many commitments
and too much stuff
to ignore
and so we lie with each other
and sleep the days away
watching movies we both hate
eating food out of white boxes

Two rich kids
with too much money
and not enough parties
or blow
so we drink with each other
and spend hundreds on gas, porn
beer and groceries
and pay for everyone else

Two sad kids
with too much to think about
and too many disappointments
to try anymore
and so we hold each other
and pretend we're with our loves
and drown our sorrows in
all of the above
waiting until the comfort dissolves.
