I packed my suitcase this morning
I closed up my house for the week
I steered my car towards the airport
then blew right past it towards the sea

you think I could barter
a charter
across this big water
could I talk myself off of the dock

I dream that I am sailing in the winter
in the cabin the boat rocks to say
that all of the vastness of water
is far more enduring than airways
